There are many places to enjoy swimming and boating in the Moosalamoo Region. In the heart of the MNRA there is Silver Lake and Goshen Dam (aka Sugar Hill Reservoir). Silver Lake is a quiet lake with no motors allowed. You have to carry your craft in from the parking area at the end of Silver Lake Road (FR 27).
Swimming is available at the beach at Branbury State Park ,located just west of the MNRA. They also have Boating access and boat rentals there.
The Falls of Lana, where the Sucker Brook tumbles down steeply to Lake Dunmore, offers some nice spots to cool off for the adventurous.
For a quiet, secluded swimming spot, try Lake Pleiad, a small alpine lake located off the Long Trail just south of Middlebury Gap and north of the MNRA.
